It was his idea. After a great show in May 2008, late that night and with both his elbows on the bar Chuck Ragan said: „I’d love to record a live album here.“
Of course we were instantly into the idea! And so these few short words turned into a big plan. On February 4th 2009 Chuck Ragan stood on our stage again. The show was sold out weeks ago and the anticipation couldn’t have been any bigger.
And then he stood there, alone with his guitar or together with Jon Gaunt (fiddle) and Digger Barnes (upright bass): Chuck Ragan, the former singer of Hotwatermusic, one of the world’s most important post-hardcore bands. With the passion and anger he put into every single one of his songs you could produce a full movie. With his rough and powerful voice he took the bar on a journey to the dusty streets where everything you have is on your body and in your heart. Where new hope is born.
We managed to turn this great evening into a small jewel of a live album. The album is available on vinyl only and limited to 1000 copies, in two series of different colours.
